My name is Thomas Blosse, I’m currently 21 years old first-year computer science master’s student at ISIMA in Clermont-Ferrand. During the last year, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in computer science and have successfully worked on multiple project. Applying my knowledge and ability mostly using Java, C language and Python. Outside of my academic career, I am also passionate about sports like badminton and volley-ball and make sure to keep a consistent healthy balance between work and personal life.

Academic Background

Now, I find myself in a similar position as back in high school, I did not choose a specific specialization yet and that is he reason I am eager to find an internship to discover more in depth the different fields of computer science. As I have interest in almost every fields, from software development to cybersecurity, network and IT consultant through image processing, my goal is to find the field in which i can truly thrive thanks to internships

My journey to get here has been a bit unconventional. In high school, I initially considered studying medicine, like my sister. However, after some thought, I realized I wasn’t ready for such consequent amount of years. I had several other ideas for my future studies, but computer science stood out the most, as I had always been fascinated and curious about the field. Over the years of my bachelor, my passion for computer science only grew stronger, which led me to where I am today.

As I mentioned previously, I have interest in many fields of computer science but some stand out. This year I have a course about project management, which was very new compared to the classic courses I had beforehand and I was captivated straight from the first class with how the professor was telling his experience. This field hooked me by its diversity of tasks, the vast cultural possibilities, the human side of the job, it really picked my interest and I would love to have internship in that field.
But before becoming a project manager, my professor told us that most of them worked as an IT consultant beforehand thus picking my interest as well.

Skills and competences

In my academic and personal journey, I have developed a strong technical foundation and versatile skill set. Proficient in programming languages such as C, Java, and Python, I have also honed my expertise in using essential software tools like Git for version control, Unity for game development, Processing for visual programming, and RStudio for data analysis. Beyond technical skills, I excel in teamwork and communication, attributes I have cultivated through my experience in volleyball and badminton, where collaboration and clear coordination are critical to success. Additionally, I take pride in my rigor and adaptability, qualities that enable me to efficiently tackle challenges and adjust to dynamic situations, both in academic and extracurricular contexts

Hobbies

I also enjoy immersing myself in video games, with some of my favorites being League of Legends, Cyberpunk 2077, and Genshin Impact. League of Legends is an exciting, competitive game that challenges players to think strategically, but it’s also a fantastic way to bond with friends through teamwork and collaboration. On the other hand, Cyberpunk 2077 captivates me with its deeply engaging and emotional storylines and quests, offering an unforgettable experience in a richly detailed world. Lastly, Genshin Impact combines adventure with exploration, immersing players in diverse environments inspired by cultures from around the globe. This connection to various cultures resonates with my passion for traveling, making every journey in the game feel like an extension of my curiosity about the world

In addition to photography and traveling, I am passionate about sports, particularly volleyball and badminton. Playing these sports with friends makes every game enjoyable and creates memorable moments of laughter. At the same time, I often challenge myself by playing against random opponents, which not only sharpens my skills but also provides a great way to meet new people and build connections. These activities are more than just a way to stay active—they foster essential skills like teamwork, adaptability, and strategic thinking that benefit me in various aspects of life

I am also deeply passionate about anime and Japanese culture, which have greatly influenced my perspective and interests. Anime offers a unique blend of storytelling, stunning visuals, and meaningful themes that resonate with me, whether it’s action-packed adventures or heartfelt emotional journeys. Beyond anime, I admire the richness of Japanese culture, from its traditional customs and cuisine to modern innovations and art. This passion has also sparked my curiosity to explore Japan’s history, language, and way of life, further fueling my appreciation for diverse cultures and global perspectives

I'm also passionate about photography and traveling.
